Start with needs and scope
Review the company's modules, data sources, permissions and workflows. Scope, responsibilities and what counts as an accepted result need to be agreed in writing before work starts.
Data mapping and controlled evaluation
A bounded engagement may cover data mapping, a security review and evaluation with sample data. It does not guarantee accounting or tax outcomes. The customer needs to approve results and changes.
